A full coverage of the entire German territory with the service of „fast internet“ is an important task. In order to meet this aim, all stakeholders need to work together. Improved communication and development of strategic partnerships will accelerate the broadband roll-out within Germany and make it more efficient. The disadvantages of rural areas need to be removed. The goal must be to preserve the opportunities for more innovation, growth and employment for the future.
The Federal Broadband Bureau thus closely cooperates with the competence centres of the federal states (in German only). It offers on-site customized seminars in municipalities about topics such as „Broadband co-funding“ and „Deployment of high-capacity internet access“. With the information campaign Broadband@SMEs, the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), in cooperation with regional chambers and accompanied by the Network Alliance, inform on digitalisation in small and medium enterprises and the broadband roll-out in all regions.
In addition, the federal broadband atlas provides details about the deployment of internet access in Germany. With the option „report demand“, also individual need for capacity can be directly reported to the Federal Broadband Bureau.
